The 2024 Kona Ironman is quickly approaching with just over one month to go before the event. This year Kona will host the men’s race on Saturday, October 26, 2024. We still have a few rentals available during that time, all of which are oceanfront. Book now to ensure that you have lodging during this busy time. Hale Kona Kai and Kona Reef are located in the heart of Kona town; just walking distance to the pier, where the Ironman will start and end. Banyan Tree is a little further south. It is close enough to get there easily but just out of the fray. If you can and want to spend some time, we have oceanfront monthly rentals available at Kona by the Sea.
Check out our Vacation Rentals page, or just call us at 808-229-5681 for questions and booking. Our office is located right in town and we are happy to help.

Hale Kona Kai is our little hidden gem.  Located in the heart of Kailua Village but tucked off Alii Drive and away from the main traffic flow and noise, this property is situated at the edge of the waterfront.  When you walk through the door at the main entrance to any condo here, all you hear is the lull of the ocean.

Being absolute oceanfront is a beautiful thing, but it also comes with much wear and tear from salt water.  In the past few months, Hale Kona Kai’s has completed several repair and maintenance projects to maintain the property in the best condition possible, to include the following:

Water heater has been replaced and plumbing fixtures updated.

The rock wall between the property and water’s edge has been repaired and resealed this summer.

The pool was emptied and repaired this month. The pool will be back in full use by August 17, 2024.

This summer, Hale Kona Kai has undergone some much-needed structural repairs and improvements.  The 2nd floor lanais have all had spalling work completed.  All corner lanais in the 12 and 13 stacks, where the building is closest to the water’s edge, are in process of being rebuilt.  Units 212, 312 and 412 lanais are expected to be completed by the end of August, while 213, 313 and 413 lanais have an anticipated completion date of mid-September.

The end of this major project is coming to a close soon and we look forward to having our beautiful hidden gem back into the full swing of things in time for the Kona Ironman, and the fall and winter seasons.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
